iPhone GPS & TravelManager
June 12th, 2008 | by admin |Apple this week announced the next version of the iPhone to be launched on 11th July 2008 with full 3G (Fast access to the Internet on your mobile) and GPS capabilities for $199 / £149.
Thats a pretty remarkable price point for what is in affect a computer in your pocket, especially when linked to the TravelManager widgets available.
Imagine the following scenarios:-
- being able to see real-time traffic on your mobile
- being able to not only get directions if there is a diversion but also get the additional costs associated with Fuel so you can pass on any costs to your contracted customer
- being able interact with partners, customers and suppliers in real-time from anywhere
At £149 is viable to purchase one for each driver when you consider they get a mobile phone, PDA, GPS and access to the Internet and everything that brings all in one handy package.
